For community deliveries, we par bake the pizzas so you can finish them in your home oven. This way, you are able to enjoy the pizza fresh out of the oven. If you do not have an oven, or prefer that we fully cook your pizza, just add it to the cooking instructions or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This delivery model has worked great in other communities. Due to the limited delivery services currently available, we want to serve as many communities as we are able. Email email@example.com if you are interested in adding your town to our new community pizza delivery program. We look forward to serving the Windham community!
We are now offering weekly community delivery in towns beyond our normal delivery radiuses. Our current schedule includes:
Chebeague Island, ME – Wednesday
Gorham, ME – Wednesday
Windham, ME – Thursday
Peaks Island, ME – Friday
If there’s an interest from 10 or more families in your neighborhood, we will coordinate a weekly delivery to bring our pizzas, salads, beer & wine, and more to a designated pick-up location. Our pizzas can be delivered fully cooked or par-baked to be finished in your oven at home. Prepay ahead of time to limit contact upon delivery and enjoy your pizza at home.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in adding your town to our new community pizza delivery program. If you live in one of the four towns listed above, and are interested in ordering, please email email@example.com for details.
In order to serve our customers better during this time, we have rolled out a limited delivery service from our Saco location. We are currently offering delivery to areas of Saco, Biddeford, Scarborough, and Old Orchard Beach. Our delivery hours are 4PM-8PM, seven days a week.
Please see the below map for an approximate delivery radius. We hope to expand the hours and reach of this service once we are able – stay tuned at ottoportland.com, and be sure to check out Facebook for any updates!
On one of the recent (and rare) blue-sky days this spring, we teamed up with The Maine Brew Bus to deliver pizza to the hard-working employees of seven local breweries and to educate our awesome employees on the Maine beer that we serve. We had a super fun day serving up some pizza love and getting our beer education on!
If you’ve spent any time in Harvard Square, chances are you’ve seen an OTTO delivery bike. We’ve been delivering via bike for a year or so, but if you haven’t seen us out and about, you’ll be seeing more of us in the coming weeks and months as we ramp up our sustainable delivery operation at our 1432 Massachusetts Avenue location.
Currently, OTTO employs four bikers who make approximately 100-125 deliveries per week. In February, we’ve biked nearly 500 miles, saving approximately 25-30 gallons of gas, and reducing the number of vehicles that clog the streets of Cambridge at any given hour.
We have recently tripled our bike fleet to 3 delivery cycles, and have plans to double this in the coming months, in addition to expanding our delivery radius in Cambridge. To do so, we’ll be looking for 12-15 new part-time delivery cyclists.
If you’re a bicycle enthusiast who is interested in joining the OTTO team, we’re looking for you. Send a brief introduction and/or resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Every once in a while, we are asked about the weird mesh thing that we put under the pizzas in our delivery boxes.
As strange as they may seem, a lot of science went into the mesh liners, and ultimately they help ensure that our delivery pizzas arrive tasting as delicious as possible.
Many pizzerias just place the pizza directly onto the corrugated cardboard. The reality is that the average pizza sits for 15-30 minutes in a cardboard box (which sits inside a thermal delivery bag). You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to realize that a hot pizza in this environment will produce a significant amount of steam and condensation, resulting in a pizza that has lost much of the crispness that OTTO fans enjoy.
The mesh liner raises the pizza off of the cardboard, which allows air to circulate freely around (and under) the pizza. Pizza sitting directly on cardboard tends to allow grease to seep into the crust, and the crust will often absorb some of that cardboard taste. Ew, right?
This modern scientific wonder also happens to be heat resistant and cut resistant, and made from an FDA-approved material.
While food quality is most important to OTTO, we also care about the environment and sustainability. OTTO’s mesh liner is not just re-usable — it’s also recyclable.
At OTTO, we’re always looking into new ways to approach age-old challenges. We welcome suggestions and feedback from our guests on ways we might improve their experience.
This week, OTTO officially ventured into the Boston pizza delivery market with the launch of full-service delivery in the Brookline area.
While OTTO’s home city of Portland, ME has been enjoying delivery service for a little over a year, Boston-area pizza fans have been chomping at the bit for home delivery of their favorite signature pies.
People living and working east and south of Commonwealth Avenue (including Boston University), north of Boylston Street, and west of The Fenway, can order any of OTTO’s pizzas, salads, and beverages — with no delivery fees and no minimum order required.
Residents and workers only need to remember one phone number for delivery, regardless of which OTTO is closest to them. The number, which is also OTTO’s central number for catering, is 617-499-3352.
OTTO wants to remind its Boston that they are committed to feeding as many hungry residents and workers as possible. The initial delivery area is sure to expand in the coming months, but OTTO wants to ensure that the delivery service exceeds the expectations of those who frequent the restaurant.
In addition to delivery, OTTO provides full-service catering in the Boston area. OTTO is perfect for events ranging from business meetings to wedding rehearsal dinners. In addition to our signature pies, OTTO provides a variety of salads, beverages, and desserts. Both catering and delivery can be ordered via the same number: 617-499-3352.
